I have always had such a great passion to create beauty. I see beauty in everything, everywhere in everyday life. I can often be found glaring out the window of a car daydreaming about how much I would love to shoot that in front of that stone wall, or with those blossoming pink flowers, or on the front steps of that run down Victorian mansion.
When I was a teenager the idea of modeling and creating art through photographic imagery fascinated me. It was and still is something I love to do for friends and fellow photographers. Creating art as an alternative model under the name Chloe Von Creepy from 2005 until the present. Becoming a photographer was natural progression of my creativity. Shoot after shoot my ideas went wild, concepts were never ending and I found myself constantly in a state of inspiration and never being able to get enough.
The first time I picked up a camera to attempt a photo shoot with a willing friend, I was absolutely hooked. I went on to spend the next 3 years upgrading my equipment, shooting family and friends, and learning as much about photography as I could. Then came 2013.
In my early twenty's, married, living in my own home, my husband walked into the door one night and told me he had just been diagnosed with colon cancer. (I am happy to report that as I type this is he doing better than ever!) Then, I was blindsided again when the company i worked for closed down and I lost my full time job I had had for 6 years.
This was definitely the toughest time of m life, but it really taught me a lot. You can plan until you turn blue, but you never know what’s going to happen a moment later that will turn your whole world upside down. Life is far to short to waste any time not chasing after your dreams.
Skeleton Key Photography is me, chasing after mine.
